I was wondering if they could make the option to set the Theme music in the login screen back to the Original GW and give the choice to have Faction or Nightfall as an option in the sound menu

I like the Original theme music better than the Faction Theme, although a few of my friends like Faction music at the login, i don't and thought it would be a nice feature due to the fact that sometimes when i log on i like to watch the downloading at the top right corner and listen to the music, cause i know those dsl and dial-up users sometimes wait for that download to finish so they can play without alot of lag from still downloading files. And how many of those people prolly dislike the Faction Theme, while waiting for the d/l to finish.

Plus, I know alot of people that just got Original GW, to follow up on what happened after they beat Factions, and maybe they would like to hear the Original Theme or when Nightfall comes out, if they dislike the Nightfall Theme and would like the Factions or Original back

Plus the option to change the background... didn't we get this background during the PvP event for Factions? It's getting rather old now and annoying.

Yea I think the way the music plays in a lot of areas should be changed, I dont even here a lot of the music I got from DirectSong. back when i first got it i did, but after a while its like I hardly hear any at all.

I was going to get the Factions soundtrack but Im not even sure if i'll here the extra music, lol.

Not to get off from your post, your login idea is kinda cool

I personally am never in the menu long enough to really notice.. I log in, pick a character, and go. But then again my internet is pretty good, so I guess it might be nice for people with slower connections and/or dial-up.

The Guild Wars Factions Original Soundtrack now plays "in-game".

You will need to obtain the updated GuildWars.ds file and copy it into your DirectSong folder.

The ZIPPED version of the file can be located here:

Download the GuildWars_ds.zip file to your computer and UnZip the GuildWars.ds file into your DirectSong folder.

That should fix any problems. Your ds file might of been overwritten.

the battle pack with the new version of the old theme was the best track i've heard so far... i wasn't really into the asian themes of factions... it seemed all too cliched.... i hope the new game brings in some of the old goodness ^_^

yea i was just hoping they would add such a simple feature, but maybe the Nightfall Theme will be better, more like the Original
